Citizen in serious health condition denounces needle reuse in state hospital

Rodolfo Palmero Romero is a Cuban citizen living with severe kidney failure, so he has to undergo three hemodialysis sessions per week. According to his testimony, at the General Agustino Neto Hospital the staff of the hemodialysis room reuses the needles of the machine that performs the treatment on the blood. This practice is dangerous since it can bring contagion of other diseases suffered by patients, like him, who suffer from hepatitis c. Moreover, this can damage the veins that due to the same treatment are already weakened and have obstructions. In addition to this, Mr. Palmero lives with his 86 year old mother in a wooden room with a tin roof, classified as in danger of collapsing, and without the necessary conditions for a person in his health condition.
