Due to the victim’s insistence that he be transferred from the El Chungo correctional facility, because of his poor health, and since he required medical treatment and medicines not available in that correctional facility, through the mediation and intervention of the prision guard nicknamed Pioto, Officer Rogelio Hernandez Velazquez, authorized his transfer to the prison camp, El Molino, (attached to the Las Mangas Provincial Prison and 8 km away from El Chungo). According to the detainee, he was transferred on foot at around 8.00 pm (8 Km) under the allegation that there was no oil for transportation, despite his poor state of health. Upon his arrival at the Las Mangas Provincial Prison, the assistant of medical services, Milena Guer, had to administer an intravenous drip, so that he could recover from the effort made during the trip. A little later she woke up and saw a uniformed man who she could not identify, who manipulated her arm, just where the needle of the IV was going in, and quickly left. A short time later, he felt his arm numb and called the medical staff, who detected that the needle was out of vein and the liquid had caused a large swelling.
