Human rights activist prevented from leaving the country for a training in Trinidad and Tobago



Sissi Abascal Zamora was prevented from boarding the flight to Trinidad and Tobago, Tuesday, 17 September at 8:45 am. At the terminal 3 at the José Martí International Airport in Havana, she approached the migration officers who told her that the posibility to leave the country is temporary restricted for her. Abascal Zamora had been invited for a training on women empowerment taking place in Trinidad and Tobago and organized by Simone de Beauvoir Institute in Mexico. This year, it has been for the third time Abascal Zamora was deprived of her right to leave the country.
