Activist from Pinar del Río summoned to the police station and threatened

On Saturday 8 June, human rights defender Gisela Padin Perera went to the police station in Pinar del Río, based on the police invitation she received the previous day by Captain Otoniel. The interrogation was led by Captain Otoniel and instructor Yoel and mostly consisted of threatening the activist due to her activities as a human rights defender and a representative of the Trade Union Protecting Self-employed Workers. They told her that the game is over and her business could end in any moment. Moreover, she could end up in the prison as the other opponents from the province since their little game is coming to the end. They also stated, that even if the country is just overcoming the crisis, it does not mean that they stop following the counter-revolutionary activities. She was released in two and half hours.
