Sergio Mendoza Alcántara, an activist of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU), was the victim of acts of religious discrimination, for being a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, and of racism by the Captain of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) Gianny Clape Rodríguez. It is known that this is not the first time that this officer has committed these racist acts, which seem to be worse when it comes to black people doing activist work.
