Independent journalist and current political prisoner Roberto de Jesús Quiñones Haces is in very poor health due to the difficult conditions at Combinado de Prisiones Guantánamo. The prisoner suffers from chronic gastritis, which has been aggravated by the poor quality of the food in the prison, which is mainly composed of a meat mass with a marked stench, rejected by most of the inmates. The prisoner has requested on several occasions to be taken to the hospital for gastrology consultation and, although he is told that he is, he has not managed to be examined by the specialist.
