Self-employed worker detained for a day for no reason

Yemberto Valdés Sanchéz works independently in the outskirts of the Abel Santamaría Provincial Hospital in the province of Pinar del Río. He is working legally. When selling his products on June 18, 2018 at 5 PM he was approached by the Chief of Patrol of the Province, known as Chala and Andrés Montano, head of the office for illegalities, who were on their way to the emergency room of the hospital. A member of the patrol was sent to check him. He was asked why does he sell there and they demanded his patent. Even though he presented it, he was arrested and taken to the Police Unit. They told him that he was going to be arrested due to the disobedience as he was told not to sell where they found him. The head of the patrol also told him that "where handsome men should be is in prison". In the Unit they took him to the cell and they did not give him food until the following day. He was arrested until 5 PM of the next day. The guard officers who released him did not know the reason of the arrest. When he returned to the stand, his fragile products were in a very bad shape. He has assessed that the loss is 1952.00 CUP (37€). He claimed his loss in the office of attention to citizenship, accusing the heads of the Revolutionary National Police of Pinar del Río, Lieutenant Colonel Chala and Major Montano as the responsible ones. They took his statement, but he is still waiting for the answer.
