On February 21, 2016, an activist Felipe Blanco Gonzáles was going to the Santuario del Cobre in Santiago de Cuba province. The Mass was carried out in order to support Ladies in White and Todos Marchamos campaign which is being conducted to demand the release of political prisoners. At 6 am, he was detained and beaten in Carlos Manuel Street by a State Security official Major Alayo. Felipe was driven to the Police Department in El Salvador where he stayed until 11 am. Then he was released.
