Activist detained on the way to the house of José Daniel Ferrer



July 2, Human rights activist, Rafael Puente Creme, and two more activists were on their way to the house of José Daniel Ferrer, founder of UNPACU, in Santiago de Cuba. In the departure bus terminal, Rafael was detained and taken by the State Security and the political police in a patrol car to the police operations unit. Here, he was held for a while and then taken to the municipality of El Salvador, where he was held again, without getting out of the patrol car. Afterward, he was taken to the municipality of Niceto Pérez, where he was detained until the 4th of July. Here, he was interrogated by Officer Kevin and threatened to be taken to prison, saying that they are not allowed to go to the house of José Daniel Ferrer since he is a mercenary according to the United States.
