Activist detained on his way to the UNPACU Headquarters



A human rights defender Roelvis Cuba Sendo was on his way to the UNPACU Headquarters in Guantánamo Province to attend a training on democracy. When he was on the Jamaica Highway, he was stopped by State Security official Major Bryan and two police officers. He was put in the patrol car no. 600 and driven to the detention center known as “Operations”. There, he was interrogated by Major Bryan and threatened with imprisonment for several posters which had appeared in his neighborhood. Cuba Sendo was released the same day at 6 pm.
