Activist detained after participating in a workshop at the UNPACU headquarters



Human rights activist, Felipe Blanco Gonzalez, went to the UNPACU headquarters to participate in a workshop about democracy in Cuba. As he was leaving, he was intercepted by a State Security officer known as Cantillo and the captain of the police known as Sergio. He was taken to the detention unit known as Parque 24. There, he was interrogated by Cantillo and threatened with a fine for participating in counterrevolutionary meetings. Felipe was verbally assaulted, provoking him to fight back. He was released the same day at 3 pm.
