On September 5, Osmel was on his way to participate in a meeting of his organization when he was intercepted at the corner of his house by the State Security officer known as Evelio. This officer ordered him to accompany them, when Osmel asked him the reason for the arrest he was subjected to a key by the officer and taken to the patrol car by means of acts of force, all this happened while he was insulted. In the Police Unit he was taken to an office where he was detained for 9 hours, while his family went to the different Police Units and in all of them they denied that Osmel was there. He was released without any explanation for his detention.
