On the morning of 1st March, Mr. Charley Wilson Maceo appeared before the "3 and 8" unit, as the police directorate is known in Guantanamo. He was attended by Officer Raul who threatened him with prison for linking up with people who were carrying out acts of counter-revolution such as painting posters and distributing enemy propaganda to create an atmosphere of chaos in the town. In addition, he claimed that the citizen was being use and questioned the presence of activist Henry Couto in their house. The officer tried to recruit him as an agent of the State Security Department by giving him phone numbers where he could be contacted to report the time and place of human rights activities.
