Human rights activist taken to the police station and fined

On Thursday 28 February at 8:15 am, José Antonio del Cueto Carreño parked his horse with carriage and went home. When he left home at 8:15 am, there was a police woman already waiting for him and arrested him. He was then taken to the police station. Before being released, he was fine 2000 pesos (CUP). Carreño tried to change her mind, but the police woman, Lieutenant Iris Dalis Miranda Acosta, insisted. She even made the situation more complicated - she teared the fine and threw it to the bin. Carreño was released at 11 am.
