Human rights activist detained by State Security due to a meeting with his colleagues



On 27 November 2020, an activist from the organization Independent and Democratic Cuba (CID), José Cañete Sosa, was detained after having met with other CID activist from the municipality of Antilla. He was detained by a State Security official, Major Henry Borrego Peña, who put him in the patrol car no. 505 and drove him to the police station. Cañete Sosa was kept there in detention for several hours and then released without any charges.
