Polyclinic cleans with boiled water and applies adhesive tape to wound that required sutures

The son of Yadira Arteaga Quiños went fishing and, due to the fact that the government does not regulate environmental care and state companies deposit waste in the area, he had an accident with a piece of zinc, causing a wound that required suturing. At the Marta Abreu polyclinic in Santa Clara they were told that they did not have the equipment to treat him and that, since he was a minor, he should go to the pediatrics department for children. However, the polyclinic refused to transport him by ambulance, even though it was several kilometers away, and Yadira could not afford private transport. As a solution, they cleaned the wound with wounded water and taped it to keep it closed.
