An independent journalist, Rafael Molina Rodríguez, was visiting his son Esclaida Molina Rodríguez at his place. Suddenly, police officers and officials from the Ministry of the Interior and the State Security appeared in the house and detained the father. Since his detention on 14 January until 26 February, Esclaida did not know where his father was. After that he learned that he has driven to the Boniato prison and was accused of harassment of one of his nieces. In the past, Rafael has been already a victim of false accusations from his sister-in-law with whom he does not have the best relations. Also, he went on hunger strike at the moment of his detention. On 12 February, the accusation was withdrawn, however, the State Security insists on proceeding with the prosecution.
