An activist from Santiago de Cuba detained by State Security and threatened due to his posts

Luis Ramos Estiu Suárez is a journalist in the Palenque Vision audiovisual agency. He was detained while leaving the house of his parents at about 2 pm on 27 September 2021. He was arrested by three State Security (DSE) officials, all of them unknown at that moment. They took him to the police station in the municipality of San Luis in the Santiago de Cuba Province, the place of his residence. There, the above-mentioned officials warned him about his posts on social media and told him that he is not allowed to publish anything what harms the state and the Cuban government. Then they threatened him that they would take him to the court and prosecute him based on the Decree 35 if he continued. After that, he was released without further consequences. He was arrested there for about two hours.
