Economic violence against Rafael: vulnerability and poverty



Rafael Matos is a walking seller of home products, he has not been able to get an authorization since this activity doesn't provide too much money, not even for his monthlky needs. On the day of September 26, an inspector of the Municipal Direction of Supervision, stopped him on public road, specificly on "Los Maceos y Prado" street, they went over the box on his bicycle that had the products he selled, and called the police. The police officer called a patrol who took Rafael to the police station at Parque 24. On the station, they took him to the last floor, (where the head of the sections were located) and took all his merchandise, including 44 sewing threads, 5 disposable shaving machines, 20 candles, 6 sweing needles, and 1 plastic bowl. He was released around 11:30 am with a 8000 pesos fee, for the charge of ilegal economic activity. For Rafael it's impossible to opay this fee, since his incomes are not enough due to his economic situation.
