Delvis Estrada Figuerola was going to participate in the province of Santiago de Cuba in the activities of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) to demand the release of political prisoners, cessation of repression, respect for civil and human rights of the Cuban nation .
At 5:40 a.m., Delvis was arrested on the bus traveling through the checkpoint. He was arrested along with several activists without any motive or documentation. He was taken to the police unit of Caimanera by the official Montalvo, who threatened him with going to prison. Delvis was released hours after being arrested.
