On 22 November, 2020, an activist Gisela Padin was prohibited from entering the Independence Park in the municipality of Pinar del Río. Padin was about to join a protest called in to the park. At 6:30 pm, when was already on her way, she was intercepted by State Security collaborators and a policeman. The officials obliged her to leave the place otherwise she would have faced serious consequences.
