On November 23, 2020 at 2 pm the activist of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU)
Oscarleidi Blanco Lobaina was detained by the Major of the State Security Alfredo Oliveros and by Lieutenant of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) Feyo Nocle Hernández and was released at 4 pm on November 26, 2020. The reason for the arrest was alleged connection to anti-government slogans that were posted in the Bermejal neighbourhood of Baracoa where the activist lives. After being detained, the activist was transferred to the PNR unit where he remained for more than 72 hours and was heavily interrogated. The activist, after having lived difficult moments in the Police jail, where he received threats of all kinds, including the death threat, was released with official warning for public disorder and damage to property. The activist was also fined 3,000 pesos in national currency as punishment for allegedly being linked to counterrevolutionary activities.
