On 22 November 2020, at 5 pm, a human rights activist Agustín Jesús González was arbitrary detained by two policemen when he was on his way to the Independence Park located in the municipality of Pinar del Río. The detention was ordered by a State Security official who instructed the policemen to bring the activist back home and if he tried to visit the park again, he should stay overnight in a prison cell. According to the activist, he was taken home by the patrol car no. 103 and a person in civilian clothes was assigned for a surveillance in front of the house.
