On March 12, 2016, an activist Yanise Martínez Dubergel was going to attend Mass in the Santuario del Cobre in Santiago de Cuba province. The Mass was carried out to demand the release of political prisoners and the end of the police repression. At 6 am, Yanise was detained by State Security official Arturo. He was driven to the Police Department and kept there until 11:30 and Yanise was threatened by instructor Santo.
