Activists arrested and threatened by state agent



"Two members of the Cuba Reflection Movement (MCR) were arrested at around 8:30 a.m. as they left the town of Las Tosas, in the municipality of Sancti Spíritus. The activists, Omar Mauri Oliva and Adalberto Izquierdo González, were driven by Lada car to the Provincial Political Police Headquarters where they remained in a walled-in cell for 24 hours. At 1:00 p.m. Aurelio Cabrera Gonzalez was also taken, with a key for immobilization and been pushed, to a walled-in cell of the same police establishment until 9:00 pm. At the head of both repressive operations was the well-known Captain Tony of the Department of State Security (DSE). During this situation, he threatened both Cabrera González and Carlos Alberto Gómez Vasco, who was at the scene with his youngest son.
