On December 18, people throughout Cuba took to the streets to call for the release of political prisoners and respect for civil society and human rights. The activist Bartolo Cantillo Romero was going to Martí Park to attend this activity, when he was arrested by police and State Security forces, all commanded by Captain Sergio, the leader of the Guantánamo unit. He was transferred to the police unit where he remained for more than 5 hours and where he was threatened by this officer to go to prison.
