Activist threatened by political police for having received parcels from abroad

At 9 am, Guantanamo political police took an action against an ex-prisoner Carlos Manuel Veranes Heradia and confiscated him two parcels with food and one parcel with medicinal products sent from Miami by the Dissidents Support Group. According to Veranes, when he was leaving the Central Post Office in Guantanamo, there were two patrol cars waiting for him at the corner. They put him into the car and took him to the police station known as Operations. There, the officials confiscated the packages he had received and he was warned not to continue with his political activities otherwise "he might be put in jail again".
