Reporter detained while trying to search for more information about a strike in Banes



William Tamayo Ramayo is a reporter and a human rights defender. On 10 December 2018, he was about to meet up with several participants of a driver strike in order to get an update about the situation and then inform about what had happened. However, he was detained by the State Security agents right on the street and taken to the police unit in Banes. He was released on the next day at about 8:30 am with a threat that he could be in trouble.
