Reporter and human rights activist detained and threatened by the State Security

At 4 pm, William Tamayo was heading to the Wifi point in order to publish photos and videos from the strike undertaken by coachmen (carriers who ride vehicles using animal traction). On his way, he was detained by several State Security officials. They put him in a patrol car and took him to the police unit in Banes. They confiscated his cell phone and have not returned it until now. He was released at about 8:30 am on the next day. Before that, he had been threatened to get into troubles. Moreover, the State Security prohibits ETECSA (Cuba Telecommunications Company) to renew William's contract to cut off his telephonic connection.
