Bartolo Cantillo Romero is a member of the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU) and a colaborator of the movement Ladies in White. On that day, he was on his way to the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church with the intention of attending Mass carried out there on Sundays. When he was passing through the Los Maceos Street and 3 Sur, the State Security (DSE) officials known as Kevin or Jefferson and Víctor Víctor detained him. They put him in the patrol car no. 602 and drove him to the DSE detention center known as Operations. He was released at about 5 pm without any further consequences.
