UNPACU activist threatened by members of the National Revolutionary Police

In the morning of April 24, Mariela Machado Navarro, an activist of the Unión Patriótica de Cuba, was the victim of threats and psychological violence by Gianny Clape Rodríguez (head of the sector), Mariano Abad Cantillo and Carls Gonzalez Frometa (members of the Rapid Response Brigades). They told her that they knew that the reason for her protest was the situation in Santiago de Cuba and threatened her with losing her job, as had happened once before for protesting. They also said to her that if she wanted her son – who is currently in Ecuador - to be able to return to Cuba, she should "behave well".
