Carlos Manuel was unjustly fined when he carried his purchase from a state store

Carlos Manuel bought 3 pairs of flip flops and 3 work pants in a shop with national currency (CUP). He was going to the house of his wife and children, when he was intercepted by the police. Checking his backpack, they found what he had bought. Immediately, the police said he was selling illegally and without even asking for his documents, they took him to the state police office, where he was fined 1500 CUP (53 EUR) for illegal sale and illicit enrichment. The police alleged that the purchase was illegal even though he bought it in a state store.
