State authorities ignore danger caused by a landslide in the Revolutionary Square

At 00:30 am, a landslide took place and destroyed a building in the Revolution Square, Havana. The residents of the house called immediately the fire department, however, no closer attention was paid to their annoucement. Andrés Días, the president of the local government, arrived at the place and made several phone calls in order to figure out the situation. The only ones who came was the president of Rampa Popular Council, Captain Piñera representing government and hostel staff. The officials asked several questions and without solving the problem left the place. On July 11, 2016, the residents went to the local office of the Communist Party in order to make the officers do something about the situation. The investors and architects offered some solution, which, however, did not bring any practical results. Next day, the residents came to the office again, asking for attention to their problem. On July 13, the workers started to remove the debris and shoring. An expert was also sent into the building in order to check the place and its safety. However, the documentation was done inaccurately and no progress was made in the bulding restoration. Since July 20, the residents have been constantly trying to push on the relevant bodies in order to move the things forward, however no results were achieved. The building is in a bad condition and represents serious danger for the neighborhood. Given the fact, that all solutions have nearly been tried, the victims will have to turn on the National Assembly and submit all the necessary proofs. In case of failure, the residents are going to turn on the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
