Activist arrested on false charges of disobedience

At 8:30 am, Rinaldy Cabrera Mora and Michel Ventura Bello were arrested on the boulevard of Camajuaní and driven in the patrol car to the municipal National Revolutionary Police (PNR) station where they remained for two hours. Both had had their identity cards taken from them and in previous days had been summoned to that police center for no reason by the head of the PNR and an officer of the Department of State Security (DSE) respectively. The last citation did not materialize. In this arrest, Michel Ventura was fined $1,000 Cuban pesos (€32) for alleged disobedience. They explained to the police that in order to be able to buy the supplies they need for their work, they had to stay in the commercial area of the town because there is a shortage of supplies in the market, but the explanation was not helpful.
