Independent journalist detained in Matanzas Province and threatened

Yoanny Limonta García was in the municipality of Pedro Betancourt in the Matanzas Province in order to do an interview. When he was about to leave the place, two State Security (DSE) officials approached him, showed their IDs and told him he was detained. They took him to the police unit located in the municipality. The officials searched his bag Yoanny was carrying and they were looking for a camera which they did not find. However, they confiscated some other items they found - a tripod, a USB stick with his journalistic materials and four sportsbooks. They concluded by threatening him with imprisonment.
