Ramón Zamora Rodríguez, an activist belonging to the Independent Trade Union Association of Cuba, was a victim of a house search on Friday, 17 July 2020. At 6 am, a unit from the Ministry of the Interior came to his house and took away Ramón's and his son's cell phones. Then they detained Ramón and took him to the police station in Pedernales. They issued him an official warning for "throwing insults at the leaders of the Revolution". They also confiscated both cell phones they found in the house, however, no confirmation of the confiscation was issued. He was released at 8 am on the same day.
