On December 6, 2015, a woman was detained by State Security officials in civil clothes and uniformed of the Ministry of Interior while she was participating in a Sunday march carried out by Ladies in White, an organization demanding amnesty for political prisoners. She was taken to the detention center in Tarará, situated in the Eastern Havana and was detained for seven hours under horrific conditions. Knowing that the woman hailed from Pinar del Río, she was left alone in the empty streets at night. She was told that if she continued protesting, she would face worse consequences.
