Beaten up and detained in the prison in Guatánamo



On December 6, 2015, an activist Niorvis Rivera Guerra was going to Santiago de Cuba to attend Mass in the Santuario del Cobre. He was attacked by Anti-Riot Police and the State Security officials in Camilo Cienfuegos Avenue and San Gregorio Street. He was beaten up and then taken to the station. He was threatened by a Security official Jeidis who told him that his file had been completed and he would go to jail. On December 7 Niorvis was transported to the prison in Guantánamo and stayed there until December 21. He has not been told the reason for his detention.
