On 24 December 2020, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Yoandry Figueredo Torreblanca, was leaving his house located in Caribe District in the city of Guantánamo, when he was detained by State Security officials. Then he was taken to the police unit known as Parque 24, where he was received by State Security official Kevin. “Due to few posters which had appeared in Guantánamo, you are behaving like a fool. It seems like you like being beaten up. You will see when I catch you preparing posters or visiting Bartolo Cantillo,” threatened him the official. Yoandry was released at 3 pm on the same day.
