Nelson Acosta Ríos was detained when he was accompanying Francisco Rangel who was distributing food to people in need in Colón. When they were leaving the house of one of the people they had visited, they were detained by secret police officials known as Dayron and Yuniel. When they arrived to the police station, Acosta Ríos was kept in the lobby for few minutes and then sent to the second floor. He was released at 2 pm.
