Keilan Ramos was on her way to the Basilica of Santuario del Cobre in order to attend a peaceful march called Todos Marchamos, an activity carried out by the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU). When she was already in the city of Palma Soriano, waiting for other vehicles and activists, she was detained by State Security agents and taken to the police unit known also as Confrontation. There she was threatened and later on put by force in a bus. Then she was driven outside the city, on a hill near the Dos Río Prison, and left to her fate.
