Abel Lopez went to the Immigration Office to apply for a passport in order to be able to travel to the United States. However, he was told that he was not permitted to travel abroad and the passport could not be issued. Abel stated that this such restrictions are usually ordered by the Ministry of the Interior, because he is on the list of political refugees made by the U.S. Embassy in Havana. He is now waiting for any response from State Authorities.
