Yonny Figueredo Pileta was on his way to the UNPACU Headquarters located in San Lino Street. Later on, he was planning to go to Santiago de Cuba Province and attend Mass in Santuario del Cobre and Todos Marchamos campaign demanding the release of political prisoners. He was detained and beaten by State Security officials Major Alayo and Brayan and National Revolutionary Police officials. Then he was driven to the Police Department in Manuel Tames where he was kept under detention until 1 pm.
