A dissident from Baracoa sentenced to 5 years in prison



Roberto was attacked by a police collaborator and two other men in Baracoa. After that, he was detained. Due to bad state of health, he had to be taken to the hospital where he spent several days. Then he was taken to the police station and accused of threatening the three aggressors they had attacked him before. Roberto was prosecuted and sentenced to 5 years in prison (given the fact that he was already conditionally sentenced for disrespect). Roberto is a dissident who has already been imprisoned twice. Moreover, during the previous months, he published several articles on the internet and gave an interview for Radio Martí about the violence in the streets of Baracoa.
