Jesus Manuel Albear Odelin, activist of the UNPACU, was about to participate in Santiago de Cuba in Mass in order to demand the end of repression and the release of political prisoners. At 5:50 a.m., he was arrested by police officers and State Security and he was taken to the police unit of Manuel Tames where he received threats. After several hours he was released.
