Detained Human Rights Activist Prevented Going to Mass



Yusmary Chacon Lamoth was on her way to the Santiago de Cuba to the Mass at the church of Our Lady of El Cobre to ask for freedom for political prisoners and the cessation of political repression. She was detained by the State Security official called Kevin. In the patrol car 611, she was driven to the police station where she received verbal offenses such as mercenary, traitor and by the official Mariana. She remained detained until 10 a.m. of the same day.
