An activist Kirenia García Frometa was going to the Santuario del Cobre in Santiago de Cuba Province to attend Mass which wass being held to demand the end of political repression and the release of political prisoners. At 6 am, she was detained in 3 Sur Street by police and State Security agents. She was taken to the police station where she was threatened by police officers. She was released several hours later.
