Yusmary Lamoth Chacon was heading to Mass celebrated in Santiago de Cuba to demand peacefully the release of political prisoners, cessation of the repression against civil society and the people in general.
At 7 a.m., she was arrested and handcuffed by police officers and put in the police car no. 602 on the street Carlos Manuel and Santa Rita. Chacon was transferred to the detention center, where she was threatened with going to the prison and then, around 11 a.m. she was released. The detention was instructed by State Security official known as Kevin or Jefferson.
