In the morning hours, the activist of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU), Éxon Carle Gainza, was detained by the lieutenant of State Security, Asiel Medina Espinoza, by Fey Nicle Hernández, lieutenant of the PNR and by the sector chief, Carleidy Rodríguez. The arrest was made because the activist had spoken out publicly about the police repression he was being subjected to. At the police unit, Mr. Éxon was interrogated by the chief of confrontation of the National Security, Alfredo Oliveros, who told him to stop being part of the opposition and to break the link he had with UNPACU. The activist replied, saying that he did not want to leave the opposition because he had his own way of looking at the government. At the end of the interrogation, the officer threatened him that he would no longer be warned and that he would now have to abide by the consequences. Some time later, he was fined 2000 CUP for public scandal.
