An activist from Baracoa detained by secret police for 72 hours

In the afternoon hours, on 5 September 2020, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Misael Domínguez Valdez, was a victim of arbitrary detention carried out by Lieutenant Colonel Lesnier Leiva and Captain Midelsi Durán Campo, when he was leaving a TRD shop. The victim was not informed about the reason of the detention. During the detention, the activist was shouting anti-government slogans in order to let the locals know that he is not a criminal, but a political opponent and an activist from the UNPACU. He was then taken to the National Revolutionary Police Unit in the municipality of Baracoa and released 72 hours later.
